Your Association has for a number of years worked to maintain and upgrade the appearance of the surround fence. We believe that the appearance of this fence contributes significantly to the attractiveness of our community and thereby to the market value of our homes.
The Association has taken two actions to support those homeowners who have a section of this surround fence on their property.
The first is a subsidy program to assist homeowners to repair and or rebuild their section of the surround fence. A number of homeowners have accessed this program and the result is a significant improvement is the appearance of the fence.
The second is an offer to homeowners with a section of the surround to paint the exterior of their fence in the same colour as the rest of the surround fence. This is done at no cost to the homeowner but we do extend the invitation to those homeowners to make a small contribution to the cost beyond their annual membership.
The Association does have responsibility for the fence the ends of the lanes. Accordingly the fence on Riverbend Road at the end of the lane extended from Healy Road will be rebuilt within the next few weeks.

Three fence panels and two posts were down from the strong gusty wind on April 28th, 2020. That fence is on 237 Heagle Crescent facing south to green space and powerline. That fence has not been replaced in 35 years so it is about time to replace with new fences. I was planning to replace the fence last year but the other neighbor did not want to.
It will be 6 feet tall instead of 5 feet with pressured treated 4x6x12 posts and 1x6x6 boards.

I would like to apply for the Fence Building Subsidy Program. My fence is way passed it’s due time and I would like to replace it this summer. My address is 717 Hendra Cres. My property back onto River bend road next to the front gate. I will be replacing approx. 90 feet of fence to the new standard. Where do you recommend I take a look at a finished fence with the new guidelines?
